"Technology Commercialization Clinic" - A unique feature to enhance Practical Learning

Guided by your seasoned instructor Bowman Heiden, participants will share current or past challenges, as well as experiences related to technology assets and its controls. 

To further encourage peer-to-peer learning, the “Technology Commercialization Clinic” provides a relaxed fire-side-chat atmosphere as a highlight at the conclusion of the first Masterclass day, bringing participants together to exchange insights and ideas. 

Masterclass Instructor

Bowman is Executive Director at the Tusher Strategic Initiative for Technology Leadership, Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, and the Director of the Center for Intellectual Property (CIP) at University of Gothenburg. 

Bowman has more than 25 years of interdisciplinary experience collaborating and teaching technology innovation and entrepreneurship for R&D, business, and legal professionals at the interface of strategy and policy. 

He is co-founder of the Berkeley Deep Tech Innovation Lab and has experience supervising over 200 technology-based innovation projects, with industry, university research institutes, healthcare providers, and start-up ventures. 

Bowman holds degrees in engineering, technology management and economics, and his research is at the interdisciplinary interface of economics, law, and innovation, in particular, intellectual property, and open innovation in knowledge-intensive sectors. Before turning his focus to the field of knowledge-based business, Bowman played professional basketball in a number of European countries.
